Spent about 2 hours in the living room doing some other things, fixing the sloppy "add .html to the end of file paths" url rewrite I had done in GCP after the SPA to next.js static output refactor I did (warrants a longer post for issues etc. as they were problems I recognized but took a bit to identify -- easy things to do that would suck up a lot of time).

Anyways, point being I probably spent ~70 minutes prompting, adding code, fixing async errors in the python code because of bad firestore integration from Gemini, then testing changes.

I need to do a styling pass here at some point, but I don't really mind the low quality palette swap + stock material UI for a personal blog.

More of a problem when I write higher quality prose/things I care about, like the econ or LLM & mental health post.

https://www.dataandpolitics.net/ has a decent look for content, I've heard Ghost is a good substack alternative. Hacking my own with LLM has been a good activity to realize that LLMs don't suck nearly as badly as a year or 2 years ago for productive tasks though.
